Hot stone massage is a specialty massage where I use smooth, heated volcanic stones as an extension of my own hands. The heat is deeply relaxing and can help warm up tight muscles which are then easier to release.

Hot stone massage uses the benefits of ‘Thermotherapy’ (heat therapy) with massage strokes, using stones to create a deep, relaxing and healing treatment.

Using the heat of the stones to warm the skin allows the skin to absorb moisturizing and therapeutic oils, while at the same time preparing the musculature of the body so that I can work deeper into the layers of the muscle.  It has been said that one stroke of a heated basalt stone is the equivalent to 5-10 strokes of the therapists hand.
